It's Not Your Racket!

Tennis Fitness - The Billion Dollar Equipment Market

tennis fitness-

As a marketer, I love the tennis equipment market. They have done a
great job of convincing us that a new racket, strings, or shoes will
make us a better player.

Of course, there is a new technology that comes out over 3 - 5 years
that changes the game, but it is not every year as we are lead to
believe.

Tennis Fitness - The Truth

The formula, as I see it, is pretty easy:
1. Equipment - you need a racket that meets your needs, clothes that
are comfortable, and shoes that provide good support and
comfort...but do you need a new stick every year? No!
2. Practice - you need to hit a lot of ball, practice, and play
matches. It is very important!
3. Fitness - you can win a lot of matches by being in better shape
than your opponents. You need both aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
4. Mental strength - mental focus, clarity, and calmness is critical
for tennis success.
5. Nutrition - you need to correctly feed the machine.

At FitnessForTennis, we look at tennis fitness as part of a
balanced system. We want you to get in shape, so you can win!

Got Mind?

December 12th, 2011

Tennis Training: You're Working Your Body...What About Your Mind?

tennis training-

If tennis success is 50% mental and 50% tennis training, what are you
doing to train your mind?

Most of us ignore this part of the training?

There is a social stigma that people who seek mental help must either
be inept, mentally weak or just plain crazy. Athletes who see sports
psychologists are sometimes ridiculed and are thought to lack the
proper innate mental capabilities -- the "right stuff". In some sports,
athletes who use sports psychologists are actually ostracized.

This negative, critical approach is incredibly sad. It's also
incorrect. Many of the worlds top athlete's use psychological tools,
such as hypnosis to achieve top results in sports. And you should too!

Tennis Training - Free Mental Training Tool

A friend of mind, Michael Lovitch, is the owner of the hypnosis
network. He was kind enough to share this resource

Tennis Training - What Is Your Plan To Train Your Mind?

As part of your goal setting for 2012, you should review your mental
tennis training goals.
* Do you want to improve your overall performance?
* Do you want to eliminate self doubt?
* Do you want to stay cool under pressure?

All of these can be addressed in your mental training.

The 2nd Most Important Meal of The Day

December 5th, 2011

Post Tennis Workout Nutrition - What To Eat After A Workout

tennis workout-

The most important meal of the day is breakfast...

But what is the 2nd most important meal? The 2nd most important meal of
the day is your post tennis workout meal.

In addition to drinking water, you should eat within 30 minutes of your
workout.

Why? You have a window of opportunity to restore your glycogen levels
and rebuild your body.

Post Tennis Workout Nutrition - What Should I Eat?

The perfect food after your workout is a whey protein shake. It
contains protein for structural rebuilding and carbs for glycogen
restoration. The best part about it is that is really easy. After
your tennis workout, you can mix up a shake in your car and drink it on
the way home. Yes, it's that easy!

Please note: you do not want to eat fat after a workout, as it will
slow down your digestion, which is the opposite of what you want to
happen after a workout.

Standing Core Work

December 1st, 2011

Tennis Workout - Standing Core Workout

tennis workout-

Do you have a bad back or neck issues?

If so, it is really hard to do the core portion of your tennis workout,
including crunches, situps, etc.

Well, don't worry! Fitness For Tennis has found 3 core exercises you
can do standing up!

Tennis Workout - 3 Standing Ab Exercises

1. Pike kicks: Stand with your feet together and hands over your head.
Alternate kicking each leg up to your waist and touching your toes.
2. Overhead knee lifts: Stand with your feet together and hands over
your head. Alternative bringing your knee up and pulling
(crunching) your arms down so that your elbows meet each knee.
3. Side crunches: Stand with one leg out to the side and the same hand
behind your head. Lift your knee up to the side and bring your
elbow down to attempt to meet it - basically doing a side bend and
crunching yourself over in a 45 degree angle.

Sorry a bad back is not going to get you out of working your core! Get
it done!

Find other ZORGIUM pages using AZ.COM:

Enter your search keyword(s) into the search input field of http://az.com
The zorgium specific results appear in the right hand margin.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.

DISCLAIMER: Zorgium is a free world-wide-web engine from AZ.COM. You may use it, but by doing so you agree that your use of other people's information discovered via our website is entirely your responsibility. Enjoy!
